Rose McGowan’s first directorial effort, Dawn, premiered at Sundance this week. The Charmed alum sat down with EW’s Sara Vilkomerson to talk about going behind the camera for the short, which focuses on girl culture in the 1960s and stars Tara Lynne Barr (God Bless America) as a teenager hoping to break away from her sheltered home life. McGowan also gives some hints about her next directing project, which will be a feature-length film.
