Nathan Parsons joins 'True Blood' as the final season's James
It looks like Jessica is going to have a new beau in the final season of True Blood. Well, technically, it’s the same beau, but he’ll just look a little different.
EW has confirmed that Nathan Parsons (Bunheads) has been cast in the role of James. Originally played by Luke Grimes, James first appeared in season 6 of the HBO show. The long-haired sweetheart met Jessica in vampire jail, where the couple quickly became involved. They were last seen continuing their relationship in Bon Temps after Bill freed them.
According to TVLine, Grimes asked to be let out of his contract after being disappointed in the direction that James’ story was heading in season 7. Grimes can next be seen playing Christian Grey’s brother in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey film.
As for Parsons’ James, we’re sure he will have his hands full trying to keep Jessica away from Jason Stackhouse.
