First Animal Planet launched the Puppy Bowl.

Then Hallmark Channel announced the Kitten Bowl.

Now Nat Geo Wild is planning the … Fish Bowl. Yes, the cable channel has a Super Bowl counter-program to call its own. The show is apparently four hours of a fish in a bowl. That’s it.

The network made the announcement at the Television Critics Association Press Tour on Friday in Pasadena. The program will star a fish named Goldie. Goldie is, as you might expect, a goldfish. From the release: “In the vein of other reality series, where the daily drama of a character’s life plays out in a ‘fishbowl’ setting, Goldie will swim about her daily business in an actual fishbowl. Without filters and with remarkable candor, Goldie navigates through an average day in the life of a goldfish. When asked how this stacks up to her competition, Goldie offered, ‘Can Bruno Mars pack all of that into his halftime show? Right, I didn’t think so, blub, blurb, bubble.'” Here’s the trailer:
