Lea Michele's 'Cannonball': 'Glee' star finds her way through the dark
Lea Michele fittingly takes center stage in the music video for the first single, “Cannonball,” which premiered on Vevo this afternoon.
The video features lots of pretty close-ups of a vulnerable looking Lea singing in a rundown room with a broken piano. Sun streaks through the windows as the Glee star, dressed in a flowing black dress, slowly finds her strength as the song crescendos.

Michele recently spoke with MTV News about her latest single, saying the track has become her “anthem” — and also opened up about how the song has helped her heal following the sudden death of her boyfriend and fellow Glee star Cory Monteith.
“The minute I heard the song, I had a physical reaction to it. For me, it’s been my strength,” the singer told MTV of her new single. “I listen to it every day. I know it was brought into my life for a reason.”
Co-written by Sia (Britney Spears, Katy Perry) and Benny Blanco (Maroon 5), “Cannonball” is the first single off of Michele’s upcoming debut album, Louder, due out on March. 4.
