'The Bachelor' premiere highest in 3 years: Juan Pablo boost?
ABC has Juan the night! Monday’s The Bachelor premiere delivered its best debut rating in three years.
The two-hour premiere starring the show’s first Latino Bachelor, Juan Pablo, was up 17 percent from last January. The premiere scored 8.4 million viewers and a 2.7 rating among adults 18-49. That was enough to lead the evening given the modest competition. Check out EW’s recap.
Over on CBS, the network did a post-holiday two-hour block of let’s-just-finish-Hostages-already. Safe to bet the 10 p.m. episode (4.7 million, 1.0) of the freshman thriller will serve as the show’s series finale.
Fox resumed sci-fi drama Almost Human (6.2 million, 1.7). While the episode was a notch higher than its last airing in mid-December, the hour was nonetheless pretty modest.
