A user who participated in this year’s Reddit online holiday gift exchange got the surprise of a lifetime when she opened up her package only to find out that Bill Gates was her Secret Santa this year.

RedditGifts participant Rachel posted a detailed account of the events online in which she notably confessed that she “did not realize [her] santa was Mr. Bill Gates himself until very far into [unwrapping].”

In fact, Rachel writes that she actually didn’t catch on that the Bill who had sent her the gift was actually the Microsoft co-founder until she found a card signed by Gates wishing her happy holidays and a photo of himself holding the stuffed cow and greeting card enclosed within the package he’d sent.

“My Secret Santa present to you is a cow!” reads Gates’ greeting card. “Don’t worry— you will not have to build a barn, This cow will be given to a family in need, in your name, through Heifer International. It will provide them with income and dairy products, and it will help them help themselves.”

In addition to making a donation in Rachel’s name, Gates also gifted her with a copy of the National Geographic book Journeys of a Lifetime: 500 of the World’s Greatest Trips.

The Reddit user writes in a post that she loved both gifts , emphasizing that Gates “Nailed it!” and humorously ranked his gift at the end of her written account as a “10/10 would receive gift from Bill Gates again.”
