A day-dreamer embarks on an epic real-life journey in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (in theaters Christmas Day), starring and directed by Ben Stiller.

To help promote the big screen adaptation of James Thurber’s short story, online luxury retailer Gilt is hosting an exclusive sale featuring authentic props and screen worn wardrobe pieces, signed movie posters, and home decor items inspired by the film’s production design.

A portion of the proceeds from the props will benefit The Stiller Foundation, which promotes children’s education initiatives.

Among the brand name clothing items — from the wardrobe by costume designer Sarah Edwards — for sale is a polka dot APC blouse ($550) worn by Walter’s love interest Cheryl Melhoff (Kristen Wiig).

Walter wears a Ralph Lauren parka ($1,200) and linen scarf ($450) as he treks across the Himalayas. A customized leather wallet ($750) bears the inscription; “To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, to draw closer, to find each other and to feel, that is the purpose of life.”

A rubber prop briefcase ($1,500) used in action sequences, a pair of customized Oliver Peoples glasses ($600), and a glass beer boot ($150) are among the props included in the sale. A white Cego shirt ($550) and grey flat-front Ralph Lauren pants ($400) are the key elements of Walter’s signature office attire.
