Celebratory cakes are pretty commonplace on the set of The Young and the Restless, but this milestone calls for a pretty huge one, with 25 layers.

For the week ending Dec. 2, the CBS drama marked its 1,300 consecutive week — or 25 years — as the most-watched daytime drama. Season-to-date, the drama has averaged 5.10 million viewers.

The show’s winning streak began the week of Dec. 26, 1988. Since then, it has produced more than 10,250 episodes.

To celebrate, the sudser put together this little ditty that’ll begin airing today.
