• Australian newcomer Courtney Eaton (Mad Max: Fury Road) will star opposite Gerard Butler (Olympus Has Fallen), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones), Geoffrey Rush (The Book Thief), and Brenton Thwaites (Maleficent) in Summit’s upcoming fantasy film, Gods of Egypt. The film revolves around a feud between the gods set into motion when ruling god Set (Butler) kills Osiris. When Osiris’ son, Horus (Coster-Waldu) fails to extract his revenge and loses his eye in the scuffle, the task of defeating Set falls on the shoulders of a young (mortal) thief (Thwaites). Imogen Poots (That Awkward Moment) will star in the upcoming indie comedy-drama A Country Called Home, produced by Nicolas Gonda (Tree of Life). Anna Axster (Sweet Sting) will direct and pen the upcoming film which centers around a young woman who suddenly finds her world unexpectedly turned upside down when she hears news of her estranged father’s death. Kings Of Summer actress Erin Moriarty and The Foster‘s Bianca Santos have both signed on to join the cast of Universal’s upcoming thriller, Ouija. Produced by Michael Bay (Transformers), the film centers around a group of friends who try to use a Ouija board to make contact with a recently deceased friend but end up making contact with an evil spirit in the process. Workaholic‘s Jillian Bell is slated to star and co-write MGM’s upcoming film, Let’s Get Married. The actress will play one half of a couple who finds themselves in an arranged marriage. While the film is being fast tracked, production is not slated to start until next spring. [Deadline]
