Jeremy Irons (The Borgias) will co-star opposite Slumdog Millionaire‘s Dev Patel in The Man Who Knew Infinity, an upcoming biopic about revered Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. Matthew Brown (Ropewalk) will direct and pen the screenplay for the upcoming film based off Robert Kanigel‘s biography, The Man Who Knew Infinity: A Life of the Genius Ramanujan. Irons will play G.H. Hardy, an English mathematician who pulls Ramanujan (Patel) out of Edwardian India and installs him at Cambridge University. [Variety]

Amanda Seyfried (Les Miserables) is in talks to star in He’s F-ing Perfect for Universal, about a woman who uses her social media skills to assess her friends’ dates and search for her own perfect guy. Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, and Kevin Messick are producing. [Variety]

Pretty Little Liars’ Ian Harding will star in the upcoming indie Dynamite: A Cautionary Tale. Directed by Tate Steinsiek (My Winter’s Coat), Dynamite: A Cautionary Tale is based on a true story and is set in the 1960s, just as pornography was becoming more mainstream. Harding plays Max Bornstein, a college dropout who leaves school to partner with his childhood friend in favor of going into the pornography distribution business; Bornstein’s life soon beings to spiral out of control when he becomes addicted to heroin. Daren Kagasoff (The Secret Life of the American Teenager) has been cast in Universal’s upcoming horror film, Ouija. Juliet Snowden (Knowing) and Stiles White (The Sixth Sense) will direct the film inspired by the popular Hasbro board game of the same name. Ouija follows a group of teens who come into contact with an evil spirit while playing with an Ouija board. [Deadline]
