Monday evening was reserved for Paul Walker’s friends and family.

According to People, those close to Walker gathered at the crash site yesterday evening to hold a memorial for the actor, who died in a car crash on Saturday.

Although it’s unclear exactly which family members attended the memorial, Walker is survived by his parents, two brothers, a sister, and his 15-year-old daughter, Meadow. Walker’s Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel was in attendance, where he thanked fans who had been congregating, saying they had shown “that angel up in heaven how much you appreciated him.”

Antonio Holmes, a body-shop worker who knew Walker from the Always Evolving racing team, told People that a public fan tribute is planned for Dec. 15. “We’ll be over at Neptune’s [Net] in Malibu to do a tribute ride,” he said. “There’s an infamous scene in the first Fast and the Furious movie that was shot there.”

For now, Walker’s family asks that fans keep the actor’s legacy alive by contributing to his charity, Reach Out WorldWide.
