'Family Guy': Veterinarians insist they can save Brian
Okay, now this is getting silly. Or sillier.
A group of veterinarians at a chain of 24-hour emergency pet hospitals are declaring they can save Family Guy‘s Brian.
“If the writers of the show could somehow help Stewie Griffin get his time machine up and working to the point where they could get Brian to one of our specialty and emergency hospitals, we would use everything at our disposal to try to bring back one of America’s most beloved pooches,” said Dr. Jennifer Welser, chief medical officer of BluePearl Veterinary Partners.
Added Dr. Mark Levy, a board-certified surgeon with BluePearl in New York: “We’re calling on Mr. MacFarlane, the writers and most importantly, Stewie, to do everything in their power to save Brian. Just get him to one of our hospitals and we’ll provide whatever surgery or specialty needs may be necessary to try to save him.”
Yes, these doctors and hospitals are real. BluePearl put out these statements in a rather crafty press release Tuesday.
Brian, the Fox show’s beloved talking pooch, was run over by a car in Sunday’s shocking episode, prompting fan outrage. We suspect Brian is coming back eventually — with or without a vet’s help.
