What’s worthy of PopWatching this week? A well-balanced plate of live music, criminal dramas, and holiday cheer. All eyes are on Miley Cyrus as she performs at the AMA’s Sunday night. If she does something crazy, at least it’ll give Grandma something else to talk about at your turkey dinner, instead of asking about your employment and relationship status. Just pass the herbed mashed potatoes already! The next course is a scheming James Spader apéritif, followed by an undoubtedly sequin-garnished DWTS finale, and end with some winter wonderland-themed cinema.

All times listed are Eastern.

SUNDAY 11/24

The 2013 American Music Awards, 8 p.m., ABC

Pitbull hosts this year’s AMAs, where Rihanna will receive the first AMA Icon award and Lady Gaga, One Direction, Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus, and more are scheduled to perform. After her smoking EMAs performance, what ever will she do next? The real winners of this award show? West coast viewers watching on tape delay.

MONDAY 11/25

The Blacklist, 10 p.m., NBC

The James Spader-led drama about a criminal mastermind pairing up with the FBI to catch baddies has been caught red-handed with positive ratings and raves. In this episode, Anslo Garrick (played by Ritchie Coster) attempts to catch Red (Spader).

Dancing with the Stars, 9 p.m., ABC

In the season finale, the remaining three pairs duke it out on the dance floor for the last time, with special performances by Enrique Iglesias, Ylvis, Colbie Caillat, and Lady Antebellum. Be sure to check out Annie Barrett’s DWTS recaps of the season thus far.

Frozen, in theaters

The Snow Queen Elsa (voiced by Idina Menzel) has cast a chilly spell on the kingdom of Arendelle, where everything in sight has frozen over. It’s up to her sister, Anna, (voiced by Kristen Bell), and her sidekicks — a mountain man (Jonathan Groff),  and a snowman (Josh Gad) — to find Elsa and save Arendelle from a winter that never ends.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, 9 a.m., NBC

Get a head start on roasting that bird to the dulcet tones of hosts Matt Lauer, Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie giving you the play-by-play of the 87th annual Thanksgiving parade. There’ll be a cornucopia of guests — The Goo Goo Dolls, Fall Out Boy, Austin Mahone, Ariana Grande, Kellie Pickler, Gavin DeGraw, Megan Hilty, Joe Namath, and more.

FRIDAY 11/29

Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, 8 p.m., ABC

It’s the day after Thanksgiving, which means it’s totally socially acceptable to start trimming the tree, blasting caroling tunes, and watching festive classics. What better way to honor the early Christmas glee by watching the original animated Dr. Seuss tale about a fella who hates all your holiday hoopla.

College Football, 3:30 p.m., CBS
