Miley Cyrus’ wrecking ball has been doing a lot of swinging around MTV lately.

First there was that little performance at the VMAs in August that sparked some controversy among fans and teddy bears alike. Then in October, Cyrus went back to MTV in Miley: The Movement, a documentary special about her life leading up to the twerk seen round the world. Oh yeah, then she smoked pot on stage at the MTV EMA Awards in Amsterdam, natch. Now it appears MTV can’t and won’t stop its affixation with the tween star-turned-superstar.

To celebrate her 21st birthday, Cyrus is taking over MTV for eight hours on Saturday, Nov. 23. Starting at 12 p.m. ET, the festivities will begin with the all-new special 21 Candles: Miley’s MTV Moments.

The half-hour program will feature Cyrus reflecting on her career as well as a look back at some of her milestone music videos and performances, including Miley’s best MTV moments (hmmm…I wonder what those will be). MTV will then air a deluxe edition of Miley: The Movement with new commentary from the singer before the birthday girl introduces and hosts episodes of her favorite MTV shows Awkward and Snooki and JWOWW. The day ends with a repeat of the 21 Candles special at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Don’t think that’ll be enough Miley for you? Well, fans can get in on the birthday fun using Twitter or Instagram using the hastag #HappyBirthdayMiley for a chance to get a birthday message or video shown on the network throughout the day.

Since we all know Miley likes to party and do whatever she wants, it wouldn’t surprise us if she kept the celebration going on into Sunday where she’ll perform at the American Music Awards in Hollywood. Besides celebrating the fact that she can now drink alcohol (legally), Cyrus is also getting ready for her upcoming Bangerz tour, which kicks off Valentine’s Day in Vancouver, BC.
