UK TV news publication RadioTimes conducted a poll to determine who played the best Doctor Who of all time.

More than 20,000 readers voted for their favorite among the 11 actors who have played the iconic role. It’s no surprise who came out on top: David Tennant was considered the best Time Lord, with Matt Smith coming in a distant second place. Here’s the full results with the percentage of the vote won by each actor:

David Tennant 56.1
Matt Smith 15.93
Tom Baker 10.05
Christopher Eccleston 6.59
Patrick Troughton 2.86
Jon Pertwee 2.38
Peter Davison 1.59
Sylvester McCoy 1.36
Paul McGann 1.35
William Hartnell 0.9
Colin Baker 0.88

But will U.S. fans of the BBC sci-fi drama feel differently?

Let’s do our own poll right now and see if the results are the same (btw, that RadioTimes poll also ranked the companions).

We’re going to do things a little differently, though. You can vote for up to THREE actors as your favorites, so that way we might get a clearer sense who is best-liked among the lesser-known Whos.
