''American Horror Story'' gets renewed, Netflix and Disney team up for a new series, and more

FX renewed Ryan Murphy‘s American Horror Story for a fourth season.

Lucasfilm announced that the new J.J. Abrams-directed Star Wars: Episode VII will premiere on Dec. 18, 2015.

City on Fire, a debut novel from Garth Risk Hallberg, reportedly scored an almost $2 million advance from Knopf. No publication date has been set, but producer Scott Rudin has already bought the film rights.

Netflix and Disney will create four 13-episode live-action series — one each for the characters Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage — and a miniseries including all four, which will begin streaming on Netflix in 2015.
