The Tomorrow People are the next step in evolution. I get that. They are graced with the powers of telepathy, teleportation, and telekineses. I sort of get that. But when the show throws more powers my way, I get a little lost. Yes, superpowers are awesome, and I love them, but that doesn’t mean I always understand what’s happening.

Example A) When John and Stephen took on Killian earlier this season, the duo found themselves in a quite literally explosive situation. In order to stop a bomb, John and Stephen somehow had to cut six wires at exactly the same time. The trick: The wires were all in different locations within the room.

But don’t worry! John was able to cut five wires all at once, leaving poor Stephen to hold his own with his one measly wire. That’s all great, but how did John do it? He was magically in five places at once, and for all I knew, that meant he split himself into five or something crazy awesome. Hey, I wouldn’t complain about five Johns in my life.

But alas, that was not the case. I recently spoke to Aaron Yoo (Russell), who solved the mystery for me: “John wasn’t splitting himself into five,” Yoo said. “He was teleporting so fast that he was almost instantaneously in five places at once.”

So even if I still can’t quite wrap my head around this one, at least the mystery is solved. Right?
