World Series Game 6: Nearly 20M viewers
The final game of the 2013 World Series delivered 19.6 million viewers for Fox on Wednesday night.
With the final numbers in from Nielsen, the sixth game of the Cardinals vs. Red Sox match-up also delivered a 5.7 rating among adults 18-49. Viewers watched the Red Sox capture their eighth World Series and gave Fox the highest-rated Wednesday for any network since January. Overall, the 2013 World Series averaged 14.9 million viewers, up 17 from last year.
Otherwise last night, most shows hit lows thanks to the heavy baseball competition, with usual leader Modern Family getting out of the way entirely with a repeat. Most notably, all of CBS’ lineup hit or tied all-time lows, along with NBC’s Revolution and ABC’s Nashville. On The CW, new drama The Tomorrow People sank a point. Full chart:
