[SPOILER ALERT: Read on only if you have already watched Wednesday’s episode of Survivor: Blood vs. Water]

Whoops! Apparently the challenge in this week’s episode of Survivor was to simply remember the instructions to the challenge. In a blooper that would make Dick Clark and Ed McMahon proud, Tina and Laura from the new Galang tribe swam out to retrieve a fishing trap, and then swam back…without the fishing trap! It was a costly error from the veteran and the newbie as it put their tribe in a deep hole they were unable to crawl out of, even if the team did twice celebrate winning the challenge when they thought they had come from behind to solve the puzzle correctly. (They hadn’t.)

But neither Tina nor Laura would pay for their sins as it was Kat that would find herself voted out after prematurely maneuvering the tribe against Monica instead of staying the course and voting out Vytas, who had joined the new Glanag along with Tina’s daughter Katie. Meanwhile all the male returning players (Aras, Tyson, and Gervase) moved over to the Tadhana tribe in a random buff-pulling switch that occurred after the duel at Redemption Island.

Speaking of Redemption Island, there was good news and bad news for Brad Culpepper. The good news is no longer will anyone be berating him at Redemption Arena. The bad news is that is due to the fact that he was eliminated after losing a contest that involved simply putting numbers in the proper order from 1-100. (Seriously.) Laura Morett won the duel, giving the clue to the hidden immunity idol to Vytas, who promptly burned the sucker to a crisp, either because he didn’t want to be a target, or he is a pyromaniac. Or both.

So Kat is off to Redemption Island where — when not worrying about whether her boyfriend will dump her due to her early exit from the tribe — she will face John and Laura to stay alive in the game. My full recap will be up at midnight [UPDATE: Dalton’s recap is now live!] but you can sound off right here and right now on the episode.
