You might know Larenz Tate as Malcolm from House of Lies or Bart from Rescue Me, but very soon, you’ll be calling him Tracy.

EW has learned exclusively that Tate has landed a guest-starring role on The Mindy Project‘s second season. Tate will play Tracy Whitfield, a politician currently running for Congress who seems to butt heads with Mindy on a few issues. However, Tracy has a few tricks up his sleeve, the main one being his undeniable charm.

When Mindy Kaling joined us for a Google+ hangout last week, she mentioned Tate as one of a few “fun guys coming up” on the show. Watch the video of her complete hangout below:

The Mindy Project airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. on Fox.
