It’s almost the most wonderful time of the year… for mischievous puppets, anyway.
On Monday, November 4, Disney XD will premiere its second annual “Pranksgiving” programming event. And this year, a few new faces have been drafted to make Pranksgiving even bigger and better: NBA stars Tyson Chandler (New York Knicks), Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), Kenneth Faried (Denver Nuggets) and DeAndre Jordan (Los Angeles Clippers), who will form a special “pranking crew” with purple-skinned imp Crash of Crash & Bernstein.
The event features brand new prank-themed episodes of Disney XD favorites, the return of the hidden camera series Just Kidding, and the launch of a Japanese-style game show called Japanizi: Going, Going, Gong. The later is hosted by I Survived a Japanese Game Show‘s Yoshi and his sidekick Judge Masa.
Starting Monday, Oct. 21, fans can visit DisneyXD.com/Crash to choose which Disney XD stars will get pranked by Crash and his crew. No matter who you pick, Curry is up for the challenge: “Getting to be a part of Disney XD’s ‘Pranksgiving’ allowed me, and the other players, to connect with kids and families in a different way and show them a side of us they don’t usually see,” he tells EW. “I love to do fun things like this with fans and giving back to the community is something I’m committed to.”
