Google got jealous of the attention Leon Foucault, Jane Addams and Martin Luther King Jr. were getting via the search engine on their birthdays, so today, on the 15th birthday of Google, Google itself decided to get in on the fun.

Today’s homepage Doodle puts users in the driver’s seat, allowing them to play with an electronic pinata. The game lets users knock candy out of the pinata via the space bar, and then record their high scores on a Google+ page (I see what you did there, Google.) Competitive gamers, go ahead and block out a few minutes of your workday right now.

The search engine is also undergoing some big changes for its birthday. The company announced that the algorithm it uses to find search results has been updated, allowing for more complex questions from users.

Never fear, however, silly cat videos aren’t going anywhere.
