Marvel's 'Ant-Man' gets summer 2015 release date

Ant-Man fans, rejoice! EW has confirmed that Disney recently pushed up the superhero film’s 2015 release date. Originally set to hit theaters on Nov. 6, 2015, Ant-Man, directed and co-written by The World’s End helmer Edgar Wright, is now scheduled to arrive on the big screen on July 31, 2015, which will put it in the orbit of fellow summer 2015 sure-fire blockbusters Avengers: Age of Ultron, set for May 1, 2015, and Zack Snyder’s untitled Man of Steel sequel, slotted for release on July 17, 2015.

At Comic-Con 2012, after years of anticipation, Marvel Studios and Wright presented the first test footage for a feature film about the classic superhero, who can manipulate his subatomic particles to grow large or small at will.
