Chris Gorham: Life-size Princess Leia standee missing (thankfully)
Things are not going well for spy Auggie Anderson (Chris Gorham) at the moment on USA’s Covert Affairs. His boss has just swept his apartment, found hidden evidence, and had him escorted in for questioning. At least when we put Gorham in the hot seat for the EW Pop Culture Personality Test, we were friendly. Watch the tape interrogation below in which he reveals the TV moment that made him cry, the movie he saw too young, his geekiest possession, and the guiltiest song formerly on his workout mix.
Something from your childhood you wish you still had?
I remember before I went to college, I lined up all of my trophies and medals and made a display out of it, and then I sat there looking at them for a while. [Laughs] I think I took a picture, but then to my credit, I just got rid of all of them because I really saw starting college as a clean slate. I don’t know that I’ve actually won a trophy since. Maybe I should’ve held on to some of them. [Laughs] There were trophies for athletics, like baseball trophies — and these weren’t because I was amazing at baseball; a lot of them were because I played baseball and everyone got a trophy. But there were others. One of the first times I came to New York was for a modeling and talent competition, IMTA, which I won. I came with a group, like a modeling school from Fresno. The models all wanted to take me out that night. They said, “We want to take him to a club,” and somehow my mother agreed — probably knowing what would happen, which was I couldn’t get into a club. I was a 15-year-old who looked like he was 10, wearing Z. Cavaricci jeans and tennis shoes. So one of the girls had to bring me back to the hotel. Terrible.
