'Best Man Down' trailer: Justin Long picks up the pieces

Having your best man die at your wedding is a wedding-related stress you definitely can’t prepare for.

But in the new film Best Man Down, groom Scott (Justin Long) must deal with the death of his oldest friend, all the while when he should be on his honeymoon with new wife Kristin (Jess Weixler). They must fly back home to plan his funeral, which includes getting in touch with people from his past and realizing there was a lot more to their friend than met the eye.

“If your best man dies and your wedding is ruined, of course you want to honor the death of this person,” director Ted Koland previously told EW. “But at the same time, any human being couldn’t help but feel … sorry for themselves on some level,” Koland admitted. “Some small corner of your mind is like, ‘Ugh, why did it have to happen on my honeymoon?’”
