Adam Levine launches new menswear line for Kmart
Though Adam Levine is often busy working on music with Maroon 5, coaching his team on The Voice, trying to get his acting career off the ground, and trying to convince people that releasing a perfume does not make him a hypocrite, somehow he found time to design a menswear line for Kmart.
On Tuesday, Levine gave a few fashion journalists and other industry insiders a first look at his Kmart collection in New York City.
“It’s great to see all the tiny things we worked on, all the little details, up close and finished,” Levine told the The Associated Press. “Honestly, I think fashion has a lot to do with when you wake up that day; a reflection of where you are, who you are and what you’re going to do. I’m not making a pretentious fashion statement, but you have to put something on, and I’m not wearing a fig leaf.”
So why does Levine continue to take on these new projects? “It’s all creativity. Maybe that’s where this whole music-fashion thing comes from.”
The menswear collection, which will hit 500 Kmart stores on Oct. 1, includes button-down shirts, cargo jackets, and baseball caps, with items priced between $14.99 and $69.99.
