Martin Luther King Jr.’s iconic “I Have A Dream” speech is being celebrated in today’s Google Doodle, on the 50th anniversary of the remarks. Considered one of the defining moments of the Civil Rights era, King’s speech was delivered from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on August 28, 1963 as part of the March on Washington.

In addition to today’s Doodle, other Internet celebrations include the Twitter handle @todayin1963, where the NPR team is tweeting about that iconic day as it happened in real-time. Later today, President Obama will deliver remarks today about the 50th anniversary.
