Kanye West is shy! Kanye West is romantic! Baby North actually exists! Paparazzi suck! These are all just of few of the valuable lessons from today season finale of Kris, when West sat down with his girlfriend Kim Kardashian’s mother Kris Jenner.

With very little fanfare, Jenner launched into a series of “hard-hitting” questions/demands: Come on Kanye, tell the world you’re shy! Also, when did you fall in love with my daughter? Where did you first meet? Why are you ready to reveal yourself now?! See how he answered — plus the first pic of North West(!) — after the jump.

Luckily (or perhaps purposefully), Yeezy was more than ready to admit his shyness, and then blow right past it to talk about the first time he saw Kim, back when she was Brandy’s assistant (an image I can’t get out of my head). Despite the fact that he didn’t know how to pronounce her last name — think Parmesan — he claims he loved her from the moment he laid eyes on her. But it’s been a long road to relationship city. Kanye even admits that, at one point, he considered playing sports to get her attention, but he instead decided to go the funny route by “Photoshopping” (a.k.a. drawing a stick figure) his way into one of many now famous Kardashian Christmas family photos. You guys, even though he doesn’t want Kris saying it, this guy is soft (like his cheeks!).

So why is it that ‘Ye and Kim are perfect for each other? According to him, they’re at the same level of fame — “equally yoked.” if you will. Sure, Kim’s more in the spotlight, and he’s more “polarizing,” which is apparently one level past regular ‘ol fame, but the biggest sign of how much he loves his “girl” is that he’s willing to give up his privacy for her. “I don’t care. I love this woman,” he told Jenner.

The proof is in the (very expensive) pudding: For Kim’s birthday, he flew her to Italy and had her meet with designer Giuseppe Zanotti to create her very own dream shoes. And we all know that romantic grand gestures involving Italy and shoes lead to one thing: babies! Now Kanye is experiencing the many joys of fatherhood, claiming that his main goal in life is now to protect his daughter, North. And yes, this “musical genius” practices putting in a car seat at 3 a.m. so that paparazzi don’t embarrass him when he tries to do it in public. (Future Kings and genius rappers — they’re just like us!) Speaking of the paparazzi, ‘Ye describes the “emotional bully” as someone who’s trying to make money off of you, hence him not smiling in any pap photos, so stop bugging him about it, okay?! Let the man get some yogurt in peace!

Other important lessons: ‘Ye comes from two very creative parents. His idols include Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, his father (who’s a professional photographer and very handsome, noted Jenner), and his grandfather. Also, did you know that Kanye originally studied art at the American Academy of Art before landing a record deal at age 19? But the really big news of the hour was the rapper’s open admission that he has improvements to make as a human being and that Kim helps him stirve to be a better person. For one, she’s helping him improve his small talk.

Chit-chat aside, this man doesn’t want his legacy to read “musical genius,” but rather, he’d like to be remembered as “someone who helped, someone who brought joy.” Yes, he had his “crazy rock star” days, but those are behind him. Re: Mic-jacking at the 2009 VMAs — “The last thing I would want to happen to my daughter is some crazy drunk black guy in a leather shirt to come up and cut her off at an awards show.” It’s official: I have never loved him more than in this moment. Of course, it isn’t long until he makes a sarcastic, jerk-esque comment about Obama mentioning him so often, but I’m willing to overlook it considering that ‘Ye is fully aware of his a–hole side. That, and the fact that he uttered the words, “I don’t want to start jumping up and down on the couch,” when talking about Kim.

But let’s stop focusing on the new father when we all know why you really tuned in to Kris: I’m talking about baby North, of course. Check her out!

According to Kris, she has Kim’s eyes, Kanye’s cheeks and, depending on the day, both of their lips. (Hey, any baby with magical changing lips is alright in my book!) But really though, North is adorable. And don’t worry, Papa Yeezy will support her in whatever career path she chooses in life.

What do you think PopWatchers? Are you a fan of Kanye now? Is North cuter than her cousins? Will this new “soft”-er, gentler side of Kanye take? Sound off in the comments.
