“The story you know…The people you don’t” is the intriguing tagline accompanying the trailer for writer/director Peter Landesman’s film Parkland, about John F. Kennedy’s assassination on Nov. 22, 1963. But this won’t be just a reenactment — the movie aims to weave together the perspectives all the other players in that big day’s events, from the doctors and nurses at Parkland hospital to the brother of Lee Harvey Oswald, left to deal with his shattered family.

Starring Zac Efron, Marcia Gay Harden, Billy Bob Thornton, Jacki Weaver, Paul Giamatti and many others, the drama is executive produced by Tom Hanks and based on the book Four Days In November, by former prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi.
