Wander Over Yonder

There are just two things that Kenneth Parcel loves: Everything and television. So naturally, it was going to take more than 30 Rock‘s conclusion to keep him away from the small screen.

That’s where the Disney Channel came in. The network just announced that Kenneth — that’s actor Jack McBrayer, in real life — will star in a new animated series called Wander Over Yonder.

The show, created by Powerpuff Girls and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends guru Craig McCracken, features McBrayer as Wander, “an eternally-optimistic intergalactic traveler and constant do-gooder,” and April Winchell (Gravity Falls, Phineas and Ferb) as Sylvia, Wander’s “quick-tempered but loyal steed.”

Oh, and one sign that McCracken definitely has his finger on the pulse of Internet culture? The show’s antagonist is named Lord Hater.

Here’s a peek at the show:

A sneak preview of Wander Over Yonder will air Friday, Aug. 16 at 9 p.m. on Disney Channel. The series premieres officially Friday, Sept. 13. (Good luck with that, guys.)
