The Conjuring conjured up over $41 million at the box office this past weekend, and I imagine — based on my own experience — that meant a lot of people were screaming in their theaters.

When I saw the film last night, my fellow audience members were just as scared — and vocal — as I was. Here are the moments that got the loudest screams. (Spoilers to follow.)

When Carolyn (Lili Taylor) plays “hide and clap” and the ghost-hands appear from inside the wardrobe.

When Andrea (Shanley Caswell) finds her sister Cindy (Mackenize Foy a.k.a. Renesmee) sleepwalking, and they see the ghost-girl on top of the wardrobe.

When the cop sees the ghost-maid who had killed herself, goes to investigate, and she appears right beside him.

When Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) falls through the house into the basement.

Okay, your turn. Tell us below, did you scream?
