Halle Berry, 46, and Olivier Martinez, 47, tied the knot at a château in France’s Burgundy region on July 13. The pair, who got engaged in early 2012, are expecting their first child later this year…. Funnily ever after? Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, 45, wed Molly McNearney, 35, co-head writer of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, in Ojai, Calif., on July 13.

Jenny McCarthy, 40, has been singled out to replace Elisabeth Hasselbeck, 36, on ABC’s The View starting Sept. 9. Hasselbeck ended her decade with the show on July 10 to cohost Fox News’ Fox & Friends.

Leah Remini, 43, a high-profile member of Scientology, has left the controversial church. ”I wish to share my sincere and heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming positive response I have received,” the actress said in a statement to PEOPLE on July 11.

Troubled country star Randy Travis, 54 — who had been hospitalized for a chronic heart condition — suffered a stroke and underwent brain surgery on July 10. As of press time he had stabilized, but remained in critical condition…. Elton John, 66, announced on July 9 that he was postponing his European tour due to appendicitis.

Jim Foglesong, 90, the country-music producer and label exec who helped kick-start Garth Brooks’ career, died of natural causes in Nashville on July 9.
