True Blood is not going anywhere: HBO just announced it ordered a seventh season of the drama.
The series’ sixth season bowed June 26, with Brian Buckner as the showrunner. The seventh year will return next summer.
“True Blood remains a signature show for HBO, and a true phenomenon with our viewers,” said HBO Programming President Michael Lombardo. “Thanks to Brian Buckner and his talented team, the show continues to be a thrill ride like nothing else on TV.”
HBO says the drama is “exceeding ten million viewers per episode.”
