USA’s globe-trotting spy drama Covert Affairs returns Tuesday, which means when star Chris Gorham stopped by Entertainment Weekly Radio/SiriusXM 105 this afternoon, we got a few nice teases about what’s to come. Those include hints about a “whopper” of a secret that Auggie is holding back from Annie (Piper Perabo), the resurfacing of Auggie’s temper, and the flash-forward that begins the season 4 premiere. “It’s an incredibly dramatic moment — tense, action-packed, and filled with emotion — that I think is gonna get everyone pretty excited about where we’re headed,” he said.

While the flash-forward is a first for the show, filming the opening hour on location in Colombia, where Auggie and Annie meet ambitious, unreadable CIA station chief Calder Michaels (CSI:NY‘s Hill Harper) also yielded a personal first for Gorham: He wasn’t allowed to leave his hotel without an armed escort. He described that experienced for us before the subject turned back to Auggie’s shirtlessness — which was a natural segue into our inaugural “Afternoon Delight” radio segment, in which we get a little saucy with actors who don’t mind sharing that “Baby Got Back” was once their go-to karaoke song. Listen to the full interview, conducted by Mandi Bierly, Abby West, and Denise Warner, below.
