'Inside Llewyn Davis' trailer: Inside the '60s folk scene
The new trailer for Joel and Ethan Coen’s Inside Llewyn Davis shows the titular character trekking around, selling his songs and clutching a cat.
The film is set in the 1960s when the music scene in New York was struggling. Inspired by the book The Mayor of MacDougal Street by folk singer Dave Van Ronk, the story follows Llewyn Davis as he struggles to make a living with his music.
Co-starring Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan, John Goodman, Garrett Hedlund, and Adam Driver, the film features live singing produced by T-Bone Burnett and Marcus Mumford (Mulligan’s husband). Burnett also worked with the Coen brothers on the soundtrack to O Brother, Where Art Thou.
If the songs in the trailer are any indication, the film is going to have another great soundtrack to accompany the classic Coen brothers eclecticism. Check it out here:
