'Royal Pains' star Mark Feuerstein: Personality Test
As Royal Pains continues its fifth season (Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on USA), Mark Feuerstein, aka Dr. Hank Lawson, made a house call to EW so we could administer a test. Watch the video below to find out when he yells at the TV, what TV show and movie made him cry, the movie he has to watch every time he spots it on cable, to whom he once wrote a fan letter, and which R-rated movie he saw too young — with his grandparents!
Bonus question/the best story we’ve ever heard:
What’s your most prized pop culture possession?
There was a moment where my wife, Dana Klein, and I were Craigslisting all of her stuff. She was a writer on Friends, and she had this snow globe from the TV show and I tried to sell it online. Corbin Bernsen is a collector of snow globes. So I get an email through my Craigslist thing saying, “I’m very interested in the Friends snow globe. Corbin Bernsen.” And I’m like, “Wait a second. Are you the freakin’ Corbin Bernsen from L.A. Law that I watched every week with my brother on NBC?” And he’s like, “Yeah. How much is the snow globe?” [Laughs] I’m like, “All right, let’s do this.” And then he dropped out. Maybe the price was too high, I don’t know. I was eventually on a celebrity ski weekend and in the slalom race I find myself against Corbin Bernsen on the slopes. I’m like, “Corbin, before we race, I just want to let you know I was the guy who was trying to sell you that snow globe.” And he’s like, “Oh, yeah, I don’t know whatever happened with that.” I’m like, “Yeah, it’s okay, it’s cool.” We race. I beat him. At the bottom of the race, there’s these cameramen from Fox Sports, and one of the guys is like, “Did you do anything to psych Corbin out?” I’m like, “Well, don’t mention it to Corbin, but I did ask about this snow globe thing, and I think it may have taken him out of the game a little bit.” He’s like, “Oh, that’s cool. Yeah, secret’s safe.” He goes right over to Corbin and is like, “So, Corbin, how ’bout that snow globe?” And Corbin just looks at me like THANKS.” [Laughs] I’m so glad I got that out. This is the perfect venue to get that story out!
