On Friday, the Food Network announced it would not renew Paula Deen’s contract when it expires at the end of the month. Now, Deen has released a statement to People about being dropped.

“I have had the pleasure of being allowed into so many homes across the country and meeting people who have shared with me the most touching and personal stories,” Deen said. “This would not have been possible without the Food Network. Thank you again. Love and best dishes to all of ya’ll.”

Deen will be telling her side of the story during an interview Wednesday morning on the Today show. A rep for Deen did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment.
