Damon Salvatore is taking a trip across the pond.

Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder has joined the cast of The Anomaly, a thriller directed by Star Trek Into Darkness actor Noel Clarke. Clarke will star in the film as well, along with a cast that includes Alexis Knapp (Pitch Perfect), Brian Cox (The Bourne Ultimatum), and Luke Hemsworth (yes, there’s another Hemsworth).

The Source Code-esque film follows a “a traumatized ex-soldier who wakes up in the back of a van, alongside a kidnapped boy, to find that he only has only nine minutes and 37 seconds of consciousness to work out why and how he got there,” according to the announcement. Filming is currently underway in London.
