We don’t often get to see Mystic Falls’ finest attend class, but on the season finale of The Vampire Diaries tonight (CW, 8 p.m. ET) we’ll watch them graduate (yes, they actually passed!).

“There’s a lot of really sweet, happy moments within the episode of just everyone being together,” teases Candice Accola, who plays Caroline. “You’re going to see the whole gang [together].”

Of course—as with any TVD finale—Accola says there will be at least one major twist and a possible death. But don’t expect the mayhem to distract Caroline from donning her cap and gown.

“She just wants to go to graduation. That’s her focus,” says Accola. “She’s definitely part of keeping everyone alive and wanting to help get the answers but in the back of her head it’s still, ‘I have a graduation to plan.'”

Before all the doom & gloom kicks off tonight, we recommend you unwind with something a bit more lighthearted courtesy of Accola. She recently stopped by EW to take our Pop Culture Personality Test and revealed which R-rated movie she watched when she was younger, her most prized pop culture possession (let’s just say the Spice Girls are involved!), why she once wrote a letter to Oprah, and more.
