The CW is breaking up its vampires.

The network’s new fall schedule splits its top-rated series The Vampire Diaries and new spin-off The Originals onto different nights, with The Originals airing on Tuesdays of TVD’s Thursday home. Instead, The CW’s new sexy historical soap Reign will get the network’s best time slot on Thursdays at 9 p.m. The shake-up will shift Supernatural to Tuesdays and Beauty and the Beast to Mondays. Also on the fall schedule, super-powered teen drama The Tomorrow People on Wednesdays, while modestly rated soap The Carrie Diaries will get shuttled off to Fridays.

Saved for midseason: The six-episode final season of Nikita along with new dramas Star-Crossed and The 100.
