Ricky Gervais revives David Brent to teach guitar on YouTube

Michael Scott may be making his final appearance on The Office’s finale this week, but David Brent is ready for a comeback.

Ricky Gervais’ original office boss character is being resurrected – and he wants to teach you guitar. Well, not teach you, exactly. You’ll be teaching yourself. But he’ll be there. Gervais-as-Brent has launched a video teaser for a new series, Learn Guitar with David Brent, which will premiere May 20 on YouTube as part of YouTube Comedy Week. As longtime fans can see, music is still Brent’s passion.

In the video on Gervais’ channel, Brent previews a brand-new song, “Life on the Road.” Is he better as a musician than as a salesman? Watch below and decide for yourself:
