The Voice entered the live playoffs last night and you know what that means: flashier sets and costumes for the contestants and judges alike. This time last season we were itching to have a PopStyle intervention with former judge Christina Aguilera who entered the playoffs in American flag pants and pink cornrows that matched a fuzzy fan. How did her replacement, Shakira, step into the live rounds? Read on for the details.

While Shakira’s team hit the stage in elevated metallic and black performance looks, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer brought the edge from the judge’s chair in a perforated T-shirt by Iro, bedazzled with a Philipp Plein necklace. The all-black outfit also included shorts by Thakoon and a handful of vintage Neil Lane rings.

Of course Shakira’s outfit pales in comparison to Xtina’s blinding live round ensembles, but is that a bad thing? At the very least the new judge’s breathable shirt, which is available to purchase online now, meant she had no need to add a crazy fan.

Tell us: have you been a fan of Shakira’s style this season?
