Don’t expect to see Michael Imperioli reviving his violent, respect-craving Christopher Moltisanti for Nickelodeon’s new movie Nicky Deuce.  Though we understand why you might be confused since the movie is based on a book co-authored by The Sopranos’ Steve Schirripa, stars Schirripa, and will feature cameos from James Gandolfini, Imperioli, Vincent Curatola and Tony Sirico.

But as you can see from this exclusive clip, which also prominently features a horse, Imperioli is actually playing a mad scientist-type of doctor known as… The Doctor.:

Nicky Deuce is based on the same-titled kids’ book by Schirripa and Charles Fleming. It also stars iCarly favorite Noah Munck as Nicholas Borelli II, a nerdy boy whose life is turned upside down when instead of going to math camp he is sent to spend the summer with his uncle (Schirripa) in Brooklyn. Once in New York, he mistakenly becomes known as a tough guy, Nicky Deuce, and “learns that the mean streets of Brooklyn aren’t always what they seem.”

Nicky Deuce will premiere Monday, May 27 at 8 p.m. ET on Nickelodeon.
