The first openly gay active pro athlete in a major American sport will sit down with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday.

NBA player Jason Collins, his twin brother (former NBA player Jarron Collins) and their family (parents Portia and Paul Collins, his sister-in-law Elsa Collins and aunt Teri Jackson) will sit for their first interview together since Collins’ announcement.

Collins, most recently with the Washington Wizards, is expected to discuss the reaction following his headline-making decision to reveal his sexual orientation and how he hopes his story will further the conversation around equality. The interview will air on Winfrey’s interview series Oprah’s Next Chapter on OWN this Sunday, May 5 from 8 p.m.
