Boston-based punk band Dropkick Murphys has raised nearly $100,000 for the victims and families affected by the Boston Marathon bombings by selling a tribute T-shirt through their website.

On the front of the shirt, “For Boston” is written above the city’s skyline, while the back features the official city seal and a note from the band, reading, “Thank you, to all who purchased this shirt. All proceeds go to the victims and families of the Boston Marathon bombings. Love, Dropkick Murphys.”

Yesterday, the band tweeted that sales of the shirts had raised “$65,000 in 15 hours!” Just a few hours later, the band updated the figure, tweeting, “We’re almost at $100K – let’s keep it going!”

The shirt, which runs for $24.99 and $26.99, depending on the size ordered, has been made available for shipping to “Ireland, UK, Europe, Oz [Australia],” according to the band.

The band is on tour, with a show in Las Vegas set for tonight, but have been keeping close tabs on the dramatic manhunt that has brought their hometown to a standstill. “Waking up on the west coast to this insanity! Our hearts go out to all the victims… Be safe Boston,” the band tweeted today. “Cant wait to get home!”
