Dorothy Hamill and Tristan MacManus drop out of 'Dancing With the Stars' due to injuries
Dorothy Hamill just announced she has to leave season 16 of Dancing With the Stars. “It would be completely unfair for me to stay in this and have any of these people go home,” she said at the end of tonight’s results show, citing possibly irreparable nerve damage and an order to quit from her spine surgeon. The Olympic gold medal-winning figure skater and cancer survivor could barely rehearse the jive with partner Tristan MacManus this week due to pain from a cyst on her back, plus a sore ankle. “I wish I could give it my all, but I can’t.”

Victor Ortiz and Lindsay Arnold and Lisa Vanderpump and Gleb Savchenko were in the bottom two.
Ugh! I had such high hopes for Dorothy and Tristan. Injuries are the worst. Well, now everyone has a chance to dance again, and Dorothy’s exit was incredibly sweet. “I’m certainly not frustrated at her; I’m frustrated with her,” said Tristan — kind of bizarre, but of course he meant well! Laughing! Laughing!
