Warm weather and cool music mixed together nicely at EW’s Music Lounge (sponsored by UV Vodka, Revel Whisky, Syfy, and ChapStick) during this year’s South by Southwest festival. The evening began with Brooklyn’s dynamic country trio the Lone Bellow, who captivated partygoers at 219 West with their harmony-laden folk stylings. The Australian indie rockers Gold Fields took things from there, with ’80s-influenced gems like ”Dark Again” that had the crowd dancing at the drop of a hi-hat. ”We always want it to be like a rave,” Gold Fields guitarist Vinci Andanar said of his band’s energetic live approach. ”People should lose their inhibitions for a bit.”
