The Doctor (JODIE WHITTAKER)

When I was a kid growing up in the U.K. during the ’70s and ’80s, the first time I knew much at all about what was going to happen on Doctor Who tended to be when I adopted the traditional crouching-behind-the-couch position on Saturday evenings and watched the actual show. Needless to say, things have changed a bit publicity-wise since then.

Yesterday, EW.com exclusively debuted the trailer for the eight new BBC-America shows, the first of which premieres on March 30. And today, the Who folks have confirmed the titles of and released movie-style posters for the first four episodes, which you can see below, and also revealed plot details (which you can find at the BBC America website).

The 9-year-old me is very excited about all this. And so is the, technically, more mature me — who is also currently writing next week’s Entertainment Weekly Doctor Who cover feature. Check back in a few days for much more on that.
