Tough times for Justin Bieber, 19. On March 6, he was late to a London concert, drawing the ire of many fans. He suffered from shortness of breath during a show the following night, and was briefly hospitalized afterward. (Naturally, he Instagrammed a shirtless photo of himself convalescing.) Since then, he’s been captured on video threatening a British photographer, and pulled the plug on a March 12 show in Portugal due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
The week in canceled concerts continues with Rihanna, 25, who had to back out of a performance in Boston on March 10 due to laryngitis…. Also, Morrissey, 53, had to postpone a March 9 concert in San Francisco due to double pneumonia…. Kelly Osbourne, 28, is recovering after suffering a seizure on March 7 in Los Angeles while taping E!’s Fashion Police.
The View is losing one of its loudest voices. Joy Behar, 70, is leaving the daytime talk show in August after 16 seasons, ABC confirmed on March 7.
Legendary Canadian singer Stompin’ Tom Connors, 77, died of natural causes on March 6 in Ontario…. R&B singer Jewel Akens, best known for the 1965 hit ”The Birds and the Bees,” died reportedly from surgery complications on March 1 in Inglewood, Calif. He was 79…. Alvin Lee, 66, the British rock guitarist who founded the group Ten Years After, died from surgery complications on March 6 in Spain.
