In Summer 2011, Rose Byrne delivered audiences the one-two punch of Bridesmaids and X-Men: First Class. It looks like she’s aiming to double up on success again. Thursday it was announced that the Australian actress is in talks for not one but two films. She is in talks to join Tina Fey and Jason Bateman in This Is Where I Leave You, based on the Johnathan Tropper book about squabbling siblings following their father’s death. Byrne would play an old crush of Bateman’s character in the film directed by Shawn Levy (Date Night, Big Fat Liar). The other project, Townies, is a raunchy Universal comedy whose cast already features Seth Rogen and Zac Efron. Bryne is up for the part of Rogen’s character’s wife. [THR]

Dystopian YA novel adaptation Divergent has found its Eric. Jai Courtney (A Good Day To Die Hard) will play the leader of the Dauntless faction, one of the book’s five factions that have developed to uphold a core value in the face of the apocalypse. He joins star Shailene Woodley (The Descendants) and other actors in the growing cast, Kate Winslet, Maggie Q (Nikita) and Zoe Kravitz (X-Men: First Class). [Variety]

Horrible Bosses 2 isn’t the only upcoming project that will reunite Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day. The two comedic actors have signed on to comedy-thriller One Night on the Hudson. The project also re-teams them with Horrible Bosses and Identity Thief director Seth Gordon. [THR]

Mixed martial artist Dave Bautista has scored a role in Marvel’s next ensemble superhero flick, Guardians of the Galaxy. As the second actor cast in the film, following Chris Pratt (Zero Dark Thirty), Bautista will play Drax the Destroyer, a green-skinned alien warrior. Guardians of the Galaxy is set for an Aug. 1, 2014 release. [THR]
